You can’t travel anywhere in Glasgow without bumping into Charles Rennie Mackintosh. His influence is everywhere. His furniture and visual design is featured in cafes, in homes and available for purchase in most gift shops. His buildings, lines many streets and his work fills galleries and museums around Glasgow and abroad. The master himself even designed his own typeface, which can still be purchased from type foundries today. Today his influence continues to inspire designers, so I thought it was worth a mention.
